Health, Safety and the Environment

OneWayTM is WorleyParsons’ enterprise-wide integrity management framework, which establishes corporate expectations for progressing towards the zero harm vision, and in turn provides links to the policies, standards, guidelines and procedures that WorleyParsons aims to follow in daily operations to meet these expectations.

Safety In Design

In striving to achieve zero harm to people and assets, WorleyParsons implements Safety-in-Design (SID).  SID offers the opportunity to incorporate a more complete focus on safety considerations in the early planning phases of a design project with the objective of achieving cost and design time efficiencies in delivering design solutions that integrate overall safety considerations into the total design effort. The objectives of identifying and applying SID disciplines is to apply risk control measures to the plan definition, and to flow  these through to subsequent execution of engineering design work.  Our Safety in Design process provides greater focus on addressing basic safety requirements as an integral part of the design effort circumventing costly re-work later in the execution of detailed design.

WorleyParsons’ Use of ISNetworld

Since 2006, WorleyParsons has used ISNetworld to streamline the reporting process of their health, safety, and insurance information. At the same time, they have utilized the ISNetworld value-added tools to improve various administrative processes. Currently, WorleyParsons maintains eight individual ISNetworld accounts representing multiple business units, regions and service lines within their organization.

In terms of value-added tools, WorleyParsons currently uses the Training Manager tool to track and report their employee’s training records.  With a large number of employees and required trainings to maintain, Training Manager has alleviated much of WorleyParsons’ administrative burden of tracking training information manually.  The tool also offers various reports to benchmark employee’s training history and the option to share training information with their Owner Clients. ISN has provided WorleyParsons the opportunity to expand their business relationships with their current Owner Customers by providing them a more streamlined review process. This is accomplished by WorleyParsons’ ability to view Owner Customers’ specific safety, insurance and additional requirements as well as access their shared grading. In addition, WorleyParsons is able to promote their business to the over 140 registered ISN Owner Customers in an effort to gain new business.
