Verified Motor Carrier Data - CSA / Safety Measurement Systems (SMS)
We are pleased to announce ISNetworld is now incorporating verified Department of Transportation (DOT) data on interstate commercial carriers from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s (FMCSA) online public database, Safety Measurement Systems (SMS), part of CSA - Compliance, Safety, Accountability. This replaces the DOT SafeStat data previously available in ISNetworld for United States based contractors.
This update includes the commercial motor carriers’ new Behavior Analysis and Safety Improvement Categories (BASICs) and driver and vehicle inspection data. To capture this information, 27 new questions have been added within ISNetworld’s Management System Questionnaire (MSQ).
Owner Clients will be able to access this information on interstate carriers in ISNetworld and incorporate as verified data into your overall contractor scorecard evaluation.
